>>10464464>they know when shit will be flops>Disney knows their movies are shit>still releases them anyway>stores ordering products from with major pushes in marketing should just know>orders made almost a year before released>they know when shit will be flopsLOL HOLY FUCK NO
Fucking movies are market researched and tested hard to try and make the most appeasing movie/cartoons/etc to millions of people. Unfortunately, someone saying they'll totally buy a black transexual crippled Boba Fett when filling out a questionnaire for the company who makes said product is paying them for said answers isn't actually going to do shit in real life.
So by the time the public actually sees the product, in 30 second trailers that are edited to maximize interests, it's already too late for stores to take backsies.
All stores really know about the product is whatever the producer shows them: how much money they're putting into marketing, the demographics, how many people buy said products, etc etc etc. All of this is done around a year before said product is released.
I mean, as a fanboy for Spider-Man, i wouldn't invest a single penny into the Spider-Verse shit because they got the characters wrong and are using the worst spiderman as the main character. Most of /co/ agrees that the movie is shit, but obviously a ton of people loved the movie and a badly protrayed Spiderman 2099 is a breakout hit.
pic of popular movie series with poor merch sales because no one actually cares about anything about it except as a spectacle
