I didn't want to strip so I ended up shaping my panel lines free-hand with a LOT of cotton swabs. And that still only took about a week. What you have is a couple of evenings of work if you do it efficiently.
Alcohol works for real-touch markers, pour-types are enamel so use enamel thinner or any white spirit to clean. Or you can switch to a liquid panel line wash and eliminate most of the cleanup.
