A few threads ago while discussing what attracted us to Transformers an anon recommended that I read Last Stand Of the Wreckers as an intro to the IDW comics. (I loved TF as a tyke but now I'm more into the toys and broad strokes of the mythology and haven't seen any TF media since Michael Bay pissed his first cinematic migraine onto the big screen.)
Anyhow, fuck you, Anon, that was garbage. Just horrible. Wildly inconsistent art, the artist couldn't draw the one human character for shit, panels so crammed full of samey-looking robots that I couldn't tell what was happening, high school level writing, and Impactor did nothing wrong. Okay, shooting through Springer was pretty shitty but killing some unrepentant, murderous criminals who could abuse shortsighted laws to commit more atrocities is hardly worthy of the same punishment that they would have received had Prowl looked the other way to have them imprisoned. Wouldn't the inhabitants of that planet have been glad to have the Autobots violate their own treaty once just to get rid of REAL war criminals? Now if Impactor had killed non-combatants in a completely reckless manner just to finish off Squadron X, then sure, that would deserve revulsion.
And fuck, letting Overlord live? Gimme a fucking break. He's a war criminal to both sides of the civil war.
But really the worst thing was Verity's googly-eyed ape faces. Disgusting. You owe me $15.
