Circlejerk is strong with them, because they can be insecure together and echo each other how they are totally great and everything is perfectly fine looking.
As soon as you climb up the ladder you need to be good enough to get the attention from skilled people, and at the same time lose the interest of newbs and co. because they are "intimidated" by your skills or feel you don't need anymore praise.
Which sucks, because with lots of experienced artists and collectors leaving the hobby/not accepting commissions anymore we really need some good ones to replace them.
But that won't happen, with pencil artists making a quick buck of copying Andreja and the smeary Pintsized type still getting lots of fame while being shit.
No need for them to get any better, no chance either.
