>>10400999>>10401027And now for my Falcon review: I consider this figure, particularly in his stock form, to be weaker than Cover Girl. I think the green on his uniform is a little too dark and its easy to miss his camo paint apps as a result. His accessories are kinda weaksauce, too. The knife on his chest rig definitely should have been removable, and his backpack should have been hollow with a functional flap to store gear inside of. The backpack is just a big chunk of vinyl and is overall not as appealing as the 1/18 version. Both these things come across as very lazy to me, especially since it was possible to give them functionality in the smaller scale.
I was hoping the shotgun would be the saving grace for his accessories but it's not great. The joints are kinda flimsy and pop apart too easily because they basically work like Lego man hands rather than being properly pegged. I think I might end up giving Falcon an M-16 and giving the shotgun to Flint, since the SPAS-12 I have for Flint is a little oversized, but we'll see. My mind hasn't been made up on that yet.
Overall this figure had a lot of potential but misses the mark in a few spots, especially the head. I'd say buy it if you gotta have Falcon or if you are going to swap the head, but the default head is just as mismatched as Covergirl's, and the accessories leave a fair bit to be desired.
Side notes regarding the head swap: I repainted the eyes with blue irises and added a highlight dot, and to get a better fit with the had I soaked it in hot water for a few minutes, then secured it around the head with a zip tie until the plastic cooled off and firmed back up. The hat will fit Blowback's head out of the box but it will fall off pretty easily. I was able to get a pretty snug fit on it and I think it looks a lot better now, too.
