And a keychain is practical, since it gives you something to hold your set of keys from. I have something like this, but mine is almost 20 years old now. Usually with a keychain or charm they're fun to fiddle around with when you're stuck somewhere.
But like with watches telling time, cellphones have also taken over the time wasters charms/keychains used to have as gimmicks.
Don't really know a lot of people with watches anymore, unless they're trying hard to show off with some expensive brand. Its pretty ridiculous how large watches have become in the past 10 years to show off how much money you have to waste. Even then, i know more people who have the more expensive smartphones like the flip phones than i do who have luxury watches.
Anyway, considering pins are just a fashion accessory, i don't thik you can really count them as something /toy/ related. Worse than statueshit. Might as well be pogs.
