>>10274864That's exactly what I mean. If the Kraahkan actually created the entity known as Makuta, then his duty is indeed to the Mask of Shadows. As a manifestation of Mata Nui's dark thoughts, he is protecting Mata Nui by keeping him asleep, because awake he suffers. Basically depression keeping you in bed all day. This is why they're able to awaken Mata Nui after they defeat and/or purify Makuta. Initially the Makoki Stone was supposed to reboot the GSR, but Makuta's virus delayed the start-up until he was finally vanquished.
Perhaps the GBs created the Mask of Time to speed along their process of creating the GSR. They created the Avohkii to instill hope and goodwill in the Tohunga. Maybe they created the Kraahkan to sense moral darkness and fear in order to halt any ill intentions or betrayals which might develop. Ironically the Mask of Shadows itself conjured the inner darkness of Mata Nui which then turned malicious and spread infection, and Makuta also used that same power to pull inner darkness from the Toa as well.
