Well FUCKKKKKK. My excitement for this line absolutely plummeted. Greninja has horrible proportions, his lack of useful wrist joints annoys me, and he is huge next to Charizard. First of all, his arms should not reach damn near to the ground. They should only go to just before his knees. He's absolutely MASSIVE next to Charizard. My fears after the Jazwares team did that podcast are confirmed. They're scaling up each figure as big as it can be to "fill the package". Appropriate scaling be damned. I put together the images of the boxes showing each figure so you all get a sense of how these size up compared to Charizard.
Articuno looks good, and I think the could have done without the double hinged backward knees (a single hinge would have given just enough range and looked much nicer), but not too bad. I wish the beak was articulated to open and close and it's head was on a large ball joint like all the Eeveelutions though. I'm happy to get articulated and relatively appropriate sized versions of all the birds if we're treating this 6" Chraizard as the base line for scale.
