Also, this is a great time to grab a copy of Photoshop and learn some basics. Aside from being able to correct white balance, you can also fix your lighting (to some degree) in post processing, get rid of stands, etc. Of course, ideally you want to take care of as much of this in the original photo as possible, but nonetheless, Photoshop is a lifesaver and a valuable tool in your arsenal.
