Back when I was writing fanfics on BZPower, I had an idea for a user of this mask to carve messages into the armour of his past selves (which is technically damage), so as to effectively send messages to himself in the past. From his perspective, a message would suddenly appear on his body every now and then. Never used the idea, but it would have been great for a Makuta to enact some kind of 4D chess plan relying on knowledge of future events
