1) the unique designs
2) 00s aestetics with goths and trashy looking teenagers of that era
3) the relationship of people of that age and the whole idea of feeling like an outcast/minorities problems because X-men usually was talking about these issues a lot so many fans could relate to that (from lonely nerds to actual minorities)
WATX is just a lame souless superhero tv-show...
