I love these figures, I think the 4H are a great company overall and I feel they really do care about their fans. But the limited stock they make always frustrates me to no end. I can kind of understand why, to a point, they don't like to order too much extra stock (the fact they're still trying to sell the wave 2 bird figures is pretty much the reason they don't), but I feel the Legions proper would fair much better then their bird figures.
At the very least, and this is something I've said from the start, they should *always* have a stock of Legion Builders ready to be sold. Rabid fan and newcomer alike would greatly benefit from the 4H making sure their lowest price point figures were always obtainable as those guys are a great entryway into the line while also being top notch army builders. Even if it was a rotating stock of different Legion Builders, having these guys up for sale would be nothing but a positive for pretty much everyone involved.
>>6937963I own six of the birds (see
>>6928810) and while I love them as figures, they're literally what got me into 4H's stuff in the first place, they're not as good as the Legions proper. They are well articulated and highly detailed, but that articulation isn't perfect and those details become repetitive with multiple figures.
Articulation wise, they have a great ball jointed head with a fantastic range of motion (and no, their heads don't fit on the Legions. Their socket is too big and they sit really high on the shoulders) but the torso only has swivels, one at the ab and another at the waist. The arms are pretty good, with a double elbow joint, which allows for a deeper bend then the ML. Their legs have a lot of joints, and really do move well, but the fact they lack an ankle tilt is a huge mistake. Being top heavy figures, these guys are prone to fall over, and the inability to get their feet to lay flat only hurts their stability over time. Still great figures though, definitely worth grabbing a few.
