>>8392273One suggestion I have in case you don't know what to do while weathering is to switch mostly to oils. Everyone has their preferences and autistic ways, in armor I highly prefer pre-made enamel stuff coupled with oil work but for the PoW I felt way more comfortable with oils for everything and then only the streaking grime/rust in enamel as I could "draw" the effects I wanted as subtle as I felt like and then rework them easily if I felt like it.
While armor is arguably all about textures and finishes, I feel ships are more about the different tones and colors. Pic related hull is plain vallejo scarlet red and everything else is "drawn" with oils to make scuffs, weathering etc. moving it as mush as I wanted until i was somewhat pleased. I didn't take fancy final pics to better show the finish but I hope the point comes across
Not that I'm a ship expert by any measure as I only build one so far but I can tell quite a bit about weathering as it's the step I like the most. Love you work on the texas and just makes me want to pull the trigger on some ships I can't even build here right now
