Your best chance is to find out when your local store receives new inventory and when they stock it on shelves, but even that may not work if there's someone at the store opening crates and poaching cars before they're even stocked.

I know I'm over simplifying an insane market but I've just gotta facepalm that you can get the outrageously detailed Mini GT version of this car, with totally race-accurate paint job for LESS than a Hot Wheels main line with a generic livery...which should be hanging on a peg for $1.25.
