I don't even particularly care for Avatar 2 but the fact that general audiences remain gleefully complacent in their cinematic, and by in large artistic ignorance, is fucking disgusting to me.
They don't even put in the effort to attempt to interpret ANYTHING beyond barely understanding even surface level plot, to which they'll nitpick like an autistic child that's completely missed the point because they've lived inside a bubble that smells like shit their whole lives.
All I see with film reactions these days is people talking about NOTHING other than things they arbitrarily dislike, as if that's the only thing their retard brains can settle on.
This is the reason why new and old media is failing to reach as many as it was before.
People used to be stupid in their consumption of art, but at least the common man would appreciate the colors being shown and would value it as entertainment.
People today are just as stupid but have a far more bitter approach, believing they've reached some point of enlightenment by pointing out that nerds of old would do nothing but mindlessly consume, trading off a moronic acceptance with moronic, surface cynicism.
If your approach to art is shit, then all you're ever going to get is SHIT.
