>>10045594Todd pretty much has to die for McFarlane Toys to go down the shitter.
McFarlane's already almost died a few times. The death of KB, Sam Goody, Suncoast and other stores like them basically killed their business model, as these stores were their main source of sales. They all basically went under at the same time, so McFarlane was fuuuuuucked hard.
But from that colossal fall, they spun it around almost as fast and started selling their Halo lines at Targets and Walmarts.
They hit another low point in the 2014 or around there, when a string of licenses (Halo, Prince of Persia) all bombed, and they no longer hade Target/Walmart carrying their stuff in the children toy aisles. So they sought Walgreens (largest retail in the US) to carry their walking Dead and future toylines.
This afforded them to start experimenting and hit it super big with the Five Nights at Freddys building block sets, which was their best selling toyline. This allowed them to afford the DC license, which is may or may not be bigger than their FNAF high point.
The fact that McFarlane is able to get Targets and Walmarts to carry vehicles is pretty big, which is a testament to how well Todd is able to market his shit.
