>>9562929>I'm saying there are certain characters that wouldn't get made in the first place.I doubt this, especially since they could draw from the old games as well. Again, they entered a 3 property contract with Bethesda. That's quite an investment to produce only a single figure from one ES, two from Doom (one of which is a redeco), and none from Fallout.
>That's often how they map out these deals. I remember a few years ago, there was this "Color Top" thing, where they'd release a single character off a specific property, within the same line.Way to show how ignorant you are. Go look at how they licensed that shit. For Naruto and One Punch Man they went through Viz, who is owned by the Japanese company who runs merch licensing for Naruto and One PunchMan. There were other anime properties they picked up at the same time too, but i forget their names.
With Mass Effect, they went through EA, which is also why they got the rights for Titanfall.
For all these licenses, they released multiple figures, because that's how licensing works. Mass market toy companies like McFarlane Toys aren't seeking just to do one and done. They're seeking long term investments, hence going after these popular properties in the first place. They do not want to waste their money on one and done shit, muchless ruin their credit and reputation by aiminglessly throwing a license away.
Your beliefs in how this industry works is childish and it seems your knowledge about McFarlane ended in 2006, because they changed their entire business model over a decade ago.
