>>10370546>Nevertheless it's a nice clean paintjob. The wheels look very plasticy, but I'm guessing you'll weather them or give them a satin finish or something.Everything's in for a gloss coat, panel lining (which'll be more of a wash for the wheel, no reason to be careful about clean-up there) and then satin at the end.
As for going zenithal, as
>>10370671 had it it's not really about highlighting. Instead it's about creating subtle variations in the paintjob to give a bit more life, interest, and not-toy-ness to things. Primarily just by the mottling, but also by varying the mottling colour (which I went far harder on here than ever before). The slight concession I do to pre-shading as I largely dance around the panel lines, well, that's more force of habit I guess. Or my personal style if I'm allowed a bit of pretentiousness.
Of course, subtle rarely comes across great in photographs. Here's an attempt at making it as visible as possible, which I'd say got it to stand out a bit more than it usually does to the naked eye.
>>10370728Herding liquid mask to sit where you want it and nowhere else can be a bit of a bother at times, but there's no absolute barrier to it. Just be careful around joints and deeply textured things (grates etc) since it can be a real challenge to get it out of such things afterwards. Shouldn't be much such on top of an F-15 though.
