They're small little things that take up less than a quarter of a runner while rebake has a giant hammer, mortor cannon thing, shield, and then galbaldy's weapons on top. And yeah, you are sort of paying for any of the extra original parts a variant kit comes with. The cost of plastic to mold them at least, just not the development costs.
