>>10342048>People mainly hate on BBTS because of the insane markups they often put on items but since youre buying overpriced Bring Arts figures anyways I can totally see why any BBTS markups seem like nothingI actually don't buy many Bring Arts figures due to their price (I did go in for the recent Final Fantasy Tactics figures though, and wish that I had gotten the FFIX figures when they were around). As for BBTS's prices: I use their pile of loot system, and I can guarantee that whatever markup they charge is being made up for by the amount that I pay in shipping. I literally paid $5.00 to ship $1500 worth of figures a month ago, and they came in two huge-ass boxes (to be fair, one was that shitty Figuarts Porunga that is oversized). Those figures had been piling up since December. That said, some things get marked up more than others, and I avoid them for a lot of Bandai exclusives for that reason. The price difference on some of the Gundam figures (especially exclusives) is nuts so I order those from Nin-nin or other places like that. Bring Arts is actually a good example of BBTS not marking the figures up compared to the original manufacturer's pre-order prices. For Figma, the markup is usually around $20~, and once you account for shipping I don't see that there is much of a difference (and if it shows up in my pile of loot, I may even pay less that I would from an import site).
>Is Mezco like the only western group making toys on the "level" of import lines?Super7 was pretty good for a while during the first four waves of Ultimates TMNT (to varying degrees), but I am pretty much bailing on them at this point. Most people who buy Western shit just buy bottom of the barrel crap from Hasbro and NECA (I do like that new Alf figure though).
>>10342053Someone criticized my choice in ordering from Goodsmileus and BBTS instead of a Japanese site. Now we're talking about stores where we can buy Figma. Also, I'm now posting a picture of Guyver I's original Figma.
