>>6508200Because it was a bad looking figure, it was released a year too late in the Samurai line, and it was 4 inch scale which wasn't going over well with people after 15+ years of 5 inch figures. That being said I'm pretty amazed Bandai would recognize why the figure failed and take another shot at the character. It's just unfortunately within a line which has failed.
