>>9320087Toad was a holdover from a tie-in toy for the X-Men movie, basically they were two-packs of characters where you'd get the comic book version and the movie version. IIRC only a Wolverine set was ever released. Toad was next on the list but the line was cancelled, and since they had already gone through the trouble of creating a comic Toad for it they decided to just throw it in with the first wave of Marvel Legends.
