What is it about them that sparks happniess in people who buy them? Are they simply wealth markers for the upper middle class? Are they surrogate children?
I like the idea, and concept of them, which is a cute little soft body doll with cute cloths, however the problem is that their faces aren't even all that cute or adorable. There's just something not quite right with them, and then on top of that is the outrageous price they cost. Seeing that there are so many dolls on the market that look just like American Girl dolls why do these continue to be so popular, and retain their high price point?
To be honest Their faces kinda fall into the uncanny valley, kinda like old creepy porcelain dolls. The only thing that brings a little cutness to them are their bunny buck teeth, hair quality (which I've hear from collectors has dropped in quality in recent years) and their cute cloths.
