Another figure ive always had on my to get list but way down, but god am i impressed with this thing, makes an amazing addition to the Soundwave collection.
I know hes a deluxe, but i was not at all prepared for how big he is, both foot to shoulder and head to tail.
The colours are excellent, nice deep base black plastic, sharp eye catching teal accents, some nice silver to pick out the teeth and a few mechanical bits, the gray plastic bits blend in decently enough and the purple light piping is so pretty.
Theres so much going on here too. Front legs have huge butterfly jointed shoulders, bicep swivels (with mechalive), deep elbows and independent claws. Back legs have hips balljoints (i think) with a good amount of movement in every direction, two knee bens and foot bend. Then the cannons are on two hinges each and the tail has 4 different joints.
The one and only downside which is a real bummer is his head, its on this hing activated biting action gimmick meaning his neck is a solid chunk, no articulation at all, a real damn shame. The ears moving with the extension is cute though.
