I don't think I ever threw tantrums, just kinda moped or kept trying to bargain with my mom. I think my lowest moment was starting to cry from not being able to convince my mom to get the Ben 10 Cannonbolt figure for me. We were super broke at the time but Cannonbolt was my favourite and I never saw his figure until then so I tried convincing my mom. She was extra snappy from all the stress and I think my stupid bargaining didn't help at all. I could tell she felt bad because she bought us 2 packets of Wacky Packages each as a surprise and that really made our night.
I did have a spoiled only child friend who would do embarrassing tantrum shit in public though. I don't remember what the toy was but he kept begging his mom for it by poking her side and saying "hey" over and over after she had already said no. They got into a loud argument when he kept putting it back in the cart after she'd take it out and I just had to stand there awkwardly acting like I was really interested in the frozen meats. The worst part is she would usually always cave and then be in a shit awful mood the rest of the night and the atmosphere would be so weird.
