Just that all previous instances of Whirl have had angular, boxys heads and the only one to ever have curves was the IDW head, which the toy takes cues from. The round face, the prongs poking out at the bottom like the IDW version, these cues are present in the Generations toy. Even his head crest thing is just a really widened version of the comic's. There's nothing else boxy about the head.
