A lot of artists get lazy after doing the face. Hell, even the internet's favorite digital artist Sakimichan is guilty of that.
And what's to comment on? The bluefairy ones are like early 2000s vector trace overs. It's completely not in the same league as all the other digital paintings everyone's bitching about.

And honestly, the cover exhibits laziness more than it proves tracing. If everything were just photos painted over, even the headless dude should be rendered the same as the other guy's face.
