about to put the final touches on this. I fucking hate doing rigging, it's the most tedious thing and my hands shake way too much while doing it.
I bought a Hasegawa kit a few years ago of the Shimakaze, and it came with a full detailed page in the instructions on how to properly place the ship's rigging, no other kit I've ever bought has ever shown how to do the rigging, and the Hasegawa photo etch kit included tons of parts specifically for attaching rigging line too, another thing almost all photo etch kits neglect to do which is annoying as fuck because rigging is an essential finishing touch to any ship kit to make it look complete. I had to end up looking at reference photos of the Texas to understand how to do the rigging properly but even then it was hard to find clear images that showed me the exact points I attach the line to.
It just annoys me to no end, I wish more companies were as autistic in detail as Hasegawa. I've only ever built one of their ship kits before, and it's a damn shame they only really focus on WWII IJN warships because I'd love to see what they could do outside of that.
