My advice is to look into Vinyl Artist Gacha, it's a blind box line of small soft vinyl replicas from various artists and it's very affordable, but more than anything it's a good glimpse and introduction into the soft vinyl scene. If you find any toys you like in this line check out the original full size versions, they have better details but are more pricey. Here's a comparison example of a Gacha release on the right and the original toy (not in scale).
