Can someone with experience with LEDs tell me, is it possible to paint these with clear paints and not result in them looking like shit? All of the off-brand LED sellers have run out of colors that aren't red, green and orange, and I'm contemplating trying to do something like buying a red LED and painting with clear blue to see if it results in purple. But I don't know if it will even work, or if the heat from the LED will de-stabilize the paint, or anything like that.
