>>8567901the original videogame was a pretty good stand in for people to play with.
bakugan: battle brawlers on (DS, Wii, PS2, PS3, and 360) is the one i'd reccomend checking out. it obviously removes the physical aspect of playing with the toys- but controlling the balls and flinging them around the field is still fun. and its probably your best bet for experiencing the game today outside of convincing someone to play an 11 year old kids game with you.
there are some other games too. ones a minigame romp, ones a fighting game, an RPG, two defunct online games, and an arcade game- but good luck finding that.
any of the console games are dirt cheap. you can get them for just a buck or two each. bonus points if you get the special naga that came with the original game, that was exclusively a tie in for the game iirc
i dont know how the new battle planet game is going to work- it may be a semi faithful recreation of the real game- but i think its more likely that it'll be something else.
(oh actually looking now, the game seems to be rising in price. quite high! but i still see a good few low listings. and gamestop is still selling em for $1-$2.)
