But stuff like pinless double elbows and knees, that's been relatively rare until recently, with only a figure or two here or there randomly getting them. Even now, we are still getting current releases with pins, because Hasbro loves their part reuse. What's really confusing though is when we get entirely new sculpts with pins. Like, why? As I understand it, this is an engineering problem, it isn't actually cheaper to include pins, so I don't quite understand why every new sculpt wouldn't be pinless.
End of the day, I'm not too fussed about them either, but on certain figures, it really does a lot of heavy lifting. Like Modular Iron Man and Ironheart, their slick metallic look looks way more professional because it's smooth all around, with no pegholes breaking it up. It makes them look more premium than they actually are.
