All of the BW characters, just the same as the G1 characters, or any other series, WERE characters, and they were ALL of the same Cybertronian race even if the badguys had "badguy" altmodes or more villainous features like mean faces or bigger guns. They were still, all intelligent humanoid beings such as the good guys were. In Michael Bays Transformers, the Autobots are humanoid intelligent creatures, but the Decepticons are animalistic monsters with limited intelligence. That is a big difference, go fuck yourself.
