IT's not like he didn't appear that way in the comics and if you ever look at the ones where his mouth is actually wide opened, Kassidy would basically be missing the lower half of his face, considering how small Carnage's head is drawn.
This would be more apparent and weird in its 3d toy form.
So it'll look good from all angles.
