>>10732185Even though I prefer the New 52 figure to the Infinite Crisis one, I get what you mean. I think it was because of them making the transition to be more action figure like rather than statues with minimal articulation. They started casting the plastic in the flesh tone rather than painting it, especially with a lot of the women, I guess because they showed more skin. This probably saved them money while also cutting down on paint related QC issues. Some of the early DC Direct figures also just hold up really well aesthetically like the 2007 Dodson Wonder Woman, which I don't think they ever topped.
