If you had to mobilize your plastic armed forces for war, how well prepared are you for such an endeavour? What are your army's strengths/weaknesses? How large of a conflict could your forces hope to emerge from as the victors? Here's mine summed up:
Strengths
>infantry numbers in the thousands
>plenty of tanks and artillery
>large air force, including numerous helicopter gunships and transports (air cav)
>comprehensive command structure down to the squad level
>considerable combat experience
>large stockpile of supplies, fortifications and barbed wire
Weaknesses
>most of the artillery is towed, very limited in self-propelled assets
>not enough trucks to fully motorize the infantry, little armored transport
>minimal naval assets, barely enough for modest amphibious operations
>the command structure is based around internal conflict, necessitating reorganization to wage war with external enemies
>limited surface-to-air assets
>much of the infantry is of WW2 vintage, some are ancient-medieval while roughly a thousand or so would be considered modern
Fighting a largely defensive war would be the ideal for this army, the air force assets making up somewhat for the limited anti-air equipment and towed artillery being more practical on the defensive. The air cav components would be of great value for commando raids, deep strikes and emergency reinforcement of vulnerable sectors. A Barbarossa-type blitzkrieg would be feasible with this army, though such a campaign would be based around the opposition and what they bring to the fight. I'm confident that my forces could engage an enemy of equal or even superior troop and armor strength, based on the efficient command structure, veterancy of many units and strong air support. Stockpiles of NBC weapons are also maintained, just in case.
