I'm thinking about selling my SH Monsterarts King Kong because it's kind of disappointing to be honest. the articulation isn't the best, you cant even get it to do pic related, not that well atleast, and its sculpting detail isn't even as good as NECA's Dawn of the planet of the Apes Luca. I regret selling my NECA Dead Space Isaac Clarke to get it.
Online it looks like it goes for $300-$500, which can be a useful chunk of change. That'd cover the SHMA Gmk and SHMA Shin Godzilla amongst other figures.
The only thing is that I'm hesitant about is that are we even getting another Kong? As far as articulated Kongs for collectors go, that's the only one. A while back I remember NECA saying on twitter they're not doing figures for the new movie. Although it is entirely possible Bandai will do one since the did the Peter Jackson one.
Will we ever get a 1933 one? Cus then if we get a 2017 and a 1933 kong then I'd be kinda bummed out I don't have the 2016 cus then I could have a timeline started for Kong. (I would kill a man for a articulated Toho Kong.)
Toy collecting is tricky business sometimes.
