first time I'll be using aclad paint. any tips?
all I know is I need to make sure all the body work is spot on, and to start with a gloss black coat for best results. I didn't buy their specific clear coat, though I probably should have. I have 3 different kinds of clear to use, which should I? I've heard if you don't use the right one it dulls the finish significantly and you might as well just use a regular silver.
should I use any of these or just go get the specific alclad clear? I'm pretty sure my local joint stocks them so I should be able to get some today, if not tomorrow
>mr hobby gx100 gloss (and aqueous semi gloss)
>vallejo satin and gloss varnish
>testors glosscote
Once I have the BMF down the only masking I have to do is on the nose, so that is a consideration as well. some paints don't take well to tape being peeled off on them
