Because unlike POP, NA has He-Man in it. And Mattel is never going to send He-Man into space with cast of non-eternian characters again. They've learned that vintage is and always will be most popular. So what, do NA without He-Man and Skeletor? Unlikely. Stuff Galactic Guardians and Space Mutants into regular Eternia setting? We would need a long running series first, there are dozens of characters who take greater priority. Make NA stories and Eternia stories at the same time? You know that all MOTU stories exist to sell toylines and Mattel is not giving them their very own toyline any time soon. Right now not even a comic book miniseries looks likely.
