It was all the same shit in everyway but name.
If they called the Stormtroopers something else, it might have been different, especially since the designs were altered, but i doubt it.
It was just a poor design and the sequels storys' did nothing to entice kids.
I don't know how long you've been following Warhammer, but fans had been bitching endlessly about how nothing really changed in 40k and it was all the same shit over and over with very minor changes for the sake of $$$.
I think the fanbase handled the Primaris shit very well and maybe they rushed them out by not fleshing them out better, but people would have bitched no matter what. It's always about $$$ with the fans and always complaints about how new release is the last straw that broke whoevers back, but i think this baby step is probably the least bitch worthy.
And yeah, people have been wanting ANY type of warhammer toy, so they're going to pay up no matter what it is. Normally i'd say it'll likely fail, especially since the price is going to be high, but WH40k fans aren't poorfags like most of /toy/. So even if the figure is $100+, maybe it'll sell well enough for Bandai to make more than just a single Pramaris mold.
