All of Comic Con felt pretty empty this year.
Most of the panels i went to were half full, when i usually had to wait in line 1-3 hours ahead of time to get in.
The exhibitor hall actually had space to swing a cat around in and should only look this way on Preview Night.
Talked to a couple of booth people and almost all of them said it felt like a regional convention, like a Baltimore Comic Con, and not the world famous SDCC. Sales were OKAY, but not previous SDCC levels.
It reminded me more of the 1990s SDCC, because even by 2001, when Lord of the Rings was hyping shit up, it felt fuller. I guess this year would rank with the early 00s SDCCs. By mid-00s, shit could be grueling to walk through or get into panels.
