>also cutting them is easier and cleanerUm, I just cut the bottom of a plastic cup and inserted it between the disc and I didn't measure shit, cardboard would be messy, but rigid plastic is clean enough, I do admit I'm a rough cut but I didn't have to worry about if I cut the springs safely or not, heck if someone makes a 3p fix that uses these ratchets as they are I can quickly revert back, the hardest part is holding the springs down as you close it up and all up took 20mins, most of it holding down the springs so they don't hit me in the face.
If anything I found I can do alot more poses with them as friction, when I tried to do the legs in this kinda pose mine was giving more resistance (this is where one youtube reviewer mentioned he had a break, nothing in them to prevent it but mine fought back).
So yeah, it works, does all you expect of him, he only fails when doing something he couldn't be doing like limbo with bent knees
