as long as there is a selection of $10 sets to buy kids, as gifts, the cycle will continue. adult fans will get those gifts for kids to share the experience they had as a kid (I know it's different, but that's the idea)
the only way Lego fails, is if they F-up the cheap sets. their FOMO game is top-tier after you've been hooked on a few cheap sets (like drug dealers giving you the first hit for free)
