Personally, I prefer something like picrel. I've got a couple of these, and they work well for toys of different sizes, and there's plenty of space to use risers as well to keep things from looking too crowded. Although honestly I'm constantly rotating toys and fiddling with them and mixing and matching them on my desk, so my shelves end up in disarray frequently. Even when I spend time cleaning and reorganizing them, they won't stay that way for long because I like to actually play with my toys.
