>>10092475I'd guess it's because people just like being able to mess around with their figures and not have to worry about how they put them back. I tried to put together a nice looking transformers display but now I'm less inclined to pull those specific figures out of the display and fiddle with them, whereas I have a bunch of transformers chilling on my dresser and it's a lot easier to just grab one or two and flip them between modes or do whatever.
