Is anyone using Tamiya's LP-23 flat clear lacquer topcoat with airbrush? How's it for you? I think that I either got a bad batch or that paint is generally pretty bad. First, the thing that makes it flat is condensed at the bottom in a thick, goo-like substance that I need to pick with a toothpick, otherwise it won't mix no matter how hard you shake the bottle. And second, even if I mix and shake it thoroughly the paint ends up being gloss! Not just a bit glossy, it shines like gloss topcoat! Or semi-gloss at the worst, but not even near like mr.hobby' flat. I had a test spoon with chrome paint on it, and that "flat" LP-23 didn't even changed it much, just made a little more dull.
Or maybe it implies that I apply a dozen of coats? Mr.hobby's flat lacquer is a lot better in those terms but damn its scratch-resistance at zero level.
