Still not settled on which unit markings to go with, I want to do 110th Sentai or 2nd Independent flying unit, those conducted long range attacks from Kyushu over Iwo Jima against the B-29 bases on Saipan and Tinian in late 44', but there is nothing in terms of markings available for those. Other than a single photo of a potential candidate, two diagonal white arrows on the vertical stabilizer which could be read as a stylized 110 (IJA squadrons, Sentais, often used stylizations of their unit number as marking, either in white, blue, yellow or red depending on which Chutai (group of 9) in the squadron they belonged to).
Guess I will go with that or a 60th Sentai one. 61th has spectacular markings but needs radar, which I have but didn't drill the holes for, it would be difficult to do now.
Pic rel is the potential reference for the 110th, the kit fits very well and has good surface detail, no rivets tho except for frontsl fuselage 'roof'.
