Honestly there were a ton of problems with the Guiding-hand-among-us twist which leads me to question how recently Roberts came up with it, or at least decided on its members.
On a related note, fun fact: the planet devouring alien-doomsday weapon Unicron, that concluded the IDW run, canonically was created after a
mythical “Primus’s opposite” was already an existing myth from the age of the Titans (predating Shockwave time travel retcon interference as well), meaning that Unicron wasn’t whatever the hell the original myth was about.
