>>10583395I want a movie that is both a great movie and a great Godzilla movie. If I just watch for the monsters I might as well just watch only the fight scenes on youtube. For refernce, Terror Against MechaG, Godzilla Against MechaG, and Godzilla 2000 are some of my favorites. Godzilla vs Megaguirus is another example of a movie that suffers from the characters imo.
Actually honestly if you cut out the two dumb parents plot line from Godzilla KotM and stitched it all back together, then I would actually probably really like the movie. People get so defensive of KotM and I guess that had something to do with the 'professional critics' shitting all over it, but I really didn't like it either solely for the human story that is most of the movie.
