Lacking big retailers like target and Wal Mart is really a blessing here as Hasbro has to ship their items to each mortar stores and online independent sellers individually so they can't just get things disappeared within the big retail inventory. I think it is for that reason we rarely missed a transformers wave. And even if you missed it, online sellers can get them from china by parallel import most of the time.
The only drawback is that the local Hasbro more or less act like importer. And some time they just isn't willing to import something to the local market like the box set GI Joe toys from the past few years.
Though I have to say the 3.75 star wars used to be very rare. But Hasbro seems to be willing to step up their game starting last year. That is when I am start to be able to find all the latest release wave either in stores or online.
